I completed my Ph.D. at the Institute of Systems Neuroscience at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in 2012, followed by a short post-doctoral training. In the summer of 2013 I started at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience as a post-doctoral fellow.
My overreaching key interest is to understand mechanisms of affective learning and their consequences for human behavior. In particular, my aims are focused on fear and extinction memory and their modulation in social situations and/or psychopharmacological challenges. I am working with behavioral and psychophysiological measurements as well as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to address these objectives.
